Who’s Running The Show?

Any time we eat, we have the opportunity to…

1. Bring our physiology into balance
2. Take the body away from it.

What will determine your outcome is your metabolic dominance..

The body will do it’s best to make energy out of any type of food that we feed it.

You can try to fuel a sports car on 87 octane but to the sacrifice of performance.

The question then becomes are we breaking the machine with the fuel source or are we supporting it.

More to come on this..

Embracing Change

When coaching clients, the #1 obstacle that I see is the resistance to change.

Why?..

To change means that you must release your current way of being in the hope that the new you will help you evolve.

This is all fine and dandy with one exception..

The Ego wants to keep you the way that you are.

That’s the job of the ego…To help us identify with who we are.

So what do we do to successfully make the changes that we want?

We must confront the ego and show it who’s the boss.

This takes strength in mind and body. It also takes practice.

So if it’s reading a book, taking a walk or meditation, start your efforts today to gain the strength to change.

The more you put effort into confronting the ego, the more you will see it for what it is. A feedback system and nothing and more.

The Power Of Simplicity

The amateur tries to make the simple complex while the professional is a master at making the complex simple.

Think about it….

What Are You After?

In our quest for a better body, stronger health and more energy we often get caught up the minutia of it all.

Among all of the protein, carbs, fat… supplements, sets, reps, and cardio, what are we really after?

If you can answer this one question, you will have identified your dominant motivating factor for doing it all.

So what does physical excellence look like to you?

Write it down…

The Test Of Real Strength

One of the scariest things to do is to take full responsibility for what we create in our lives (Good or Not Good)

When we can accept that we are active and contributing participants in EVERY aspect of our beings, we can then make the necessary changes if needed or have the strength to sustain the actions that serve us.

Think about it…

Are you doing life or is life doing you?

Be Aware of Shiny New Things

A good friend of mine and Master RKC Brett Jones nailed it on the head when he explained this concept of keeping training simple and focused.

The sign of an amateur is in their constant pursuit of “the next new exercise or workout”.

Here’s the reality.

Russian coaches have an expression, “the continuity of the training process”. If you are exposed to an
exercise for only a couple of workouts, your gains from this exercise will be transient at best, non-existent at worse. If you want a lean, fit, resilient and strong body, you must sink your roots deep into your training.
If you keep taking detours into the next “shiny new thing”, you’ll be a jack of all trades,
a master of none and a lack of results to show for it.

Think about it…

A Lack of Discipline Is The Nemisis To Self Esteem…

Our minds are like a delicate orchid.
If we give it attention and care, it will in return give us great beauty and enjoyment.

When we honor the commitments that we have made to ourselves, we support and nourish our inner orchid.
It becomes a continuous and positive cycle of nourishment that is only broken when our commitments are broken.

The more we honor and execute on what we strive to become, the more energy you will have to move forward.

Food for thought…

The Power Of Synergy In Body Transformation

The old saying goes “The Whole Is Greater Than Its Individual Parts” holds true when it comes to achieving fast, dramatic and permanent changes in your body.

There must be synergy between nutrition, exercise AND lifestyle management.

Instead of doing one part ALOT, do all three a little and consistently.

There are 6 areas of Body Transformation that you have full control over every day;

1. Thoughts: You are what you think..
2. Breathing: Your breathe sets the rhythm for all other functions in your body. Master Your Breathe..Master Your Life.
3. Hydration: Keep it flowing with adequate hydration. Dehydration equals stagnation.
4. Food: Create balance in your physiology by eating according to your metabolic type.
5. Exercise: Not too much and not too little. Think about movement and intensity to determine what’s right for you.
6. Sleep: getting to be on time will do more for your hormonal system than any diet pill or cardio workout will.

Ask yourself what can you do in each of these areas to create synergy in your life…
